From today, Mimer AI Factory will operate under the name Sweden AI Factory. The name change follows a strategic review of the Factory’s brand positioning.

“The new name confirms both what we do and our mandate: to provide access and expert guidance to companies, researchers, and the public sector as they advance their AI projects,” says Rossen Apostolov, Director of Sweden AI Factory.

“Our mission remains unchanged, our name now simply reflects it more clearly.”

NAISS is hosting the Swedish AI Factory in partnership with RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden). It is a node in the EuroHPC AI Factories initiative with 19 sites across Europe.

Since launching in April 2025, Sweden AI Factory has partnered with more than 200 organisations while growing to 75 employees to match a strong demand for its services. Later in 2026, a dedicated AI Factory supercomputer will be installed in Linköping.
