The NAISS Large Spring 2026 call is open. This round contains several important updates. These are the key points:

  • We are introducing an upper limit on the capacity that applicants can request. This is done to encourage our largest users to apply for EuroHPC JU resources.
  • You may submit proposals directly for the new Arrhenius system.
  • This is the final Large round featuring the Dardel system which is scheduled to be retired on 1 January 2027. All active projects on Dardel will be migrated to Arrhenius ahead of this date. Information about the migration process will be forthcoming.
  • No allocations will be offered on our current systems Alvis and Tetralith as they will be retired on 1 July.
  • You have to certify that NAISS storage resources are used for active data only.

With this call, we are also launching a User Area with extensive information about all allocations and how to get access, along with technical documentation about our systems and software. There are sections with support and training information as well, and we are in the process of adding more.
